FAQ for Bodyworks
There’s no need for any special preparations before your romiromi or mirimiri bodywork session. However, we recommend avoiding coffee or a large meal right before your session. Also, please ensure your feet are clean, as this contributes to a comfortable and pleasant experience.
For your first bodywork session, we recommend booking a 90 minutes session. This provides plenty of time to include important aspects such as:
- Pre-Bodywork Consultation: We’ll take the time to understand your needs and any areas you’d like to focus on.
- The Bodywork Itself: An indulgent, relaxing experience that you may not want to end!
- Debriefing: You’re welcome to share your thoughts, impressions, or any insights after your session.
Choosing a longer initial session gives your body the space to deeply unwind and become receptive, allowing for a more thorough and restorative bodywork experience.
Note: in your follow-up visits, we typically conduct a shorter check-in, allowing you to spend more time focused on receiving bodywork. This enables you to fully relax and maximise the benefits of each session.
We typically use room temperature oil for most of our treatments to provide a gentle and soothing experience.
However, if you’d like to enhance your experience with warming oil or aromatherapy oil, you can choose to upgrade for an additional $10 per session. This optional upgrade allows you to personalise your treatment with extra warmth or delightful aromas, adding an extra layer of relaxation to your experience.
The pressure used during our bodywork sessions varies depending on your preferences and needs. It can range from gentle, soothing touches to deeper, firm pressure to effectively release tension and target specific areas. You’re encouraged to communicate your comfort level at any time, and our practitioner will adjust the pressure accordingly to ensure a healing, relaxing experience tailored just for you.
FAQ for Coaching and Counselling?
Coaching is a goal-oriented, forward-focused process that helps you clarify your aspirations, overcome obstacles, and create action plans to achieve your desired outcomes in various areas of life..
Anyone looking to enhance their performance, develop new skills, set achievable goals, or unlock their potential can benefit from coaching—whether it’s related to health, personal development, relationships or careers.
Coaching is primarily focused on future goals and behaviour change, rather than addressing past trauma or emotional distress. Coaches provide strategy, accountability, and motivation, supporting you to take action in your life.
Our coaching programs are flexible to suit your needs. We offer individual sessions for targeted support or a 10-week coaching program designed to deepen your growth.
Typically, coaching programs can range from just a few sessions to several months, but most clients find that a 4 to 10-week commitment provides meaningful momentum.
Coaching is truly an investment into your future—helping you clarify your goals, develop new skills, and make lasting changes.
Whether you choose a few one-on-one sessions or commit to a dedicated 10-week program, I’ll support you throughout your journey to reach your aspirations.
Counselling is a supportive process where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It aims to help you understand and work through emotional challenges, trauma, mental wellbeing issues, and life transitions.
The duration of counselling depends on your individual needs and goals. Some may find a few sessions sufficient to address a specific concern, while others might benefit from ongoing support over several months. Typically, sessions are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly to help build momentum and sustain progress.
The length also varies depending on the counselling approach used. Each approach is tailored to your unique needs. If you’re unsure about what might be best for you, a 15-minute free consultation can help determine the most suitable next steps.
Everything discussed during counselling is strictly confidential. Your privacy is protected, and your information will only be shared in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines. Exceptions to confidentiality include situations where there are concerns about safety or abuse, which will be addressed appropriately.
Additionally, your file may be shared if required by a court of law or if a third party has been authorised by you as the client. Rest assured, your confidentiality is a priority, and any disclosures are made with your best interests and legal obligations in mind.
Counselling can support a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress management, and life transitions.
You do not need a referral from your GP to attend counselling. Many clients choose to self-refer and book directly with me. However, if you have a GP referral, it can be helpful as it provides background information and may support access to certain funding options or rebates through Medicare or private health funds.
If you already have a referral, please feel free to share it when booking your appointment. If not, don’t worry—your support journey can start right away, without the need for a referral.
FAQ for Breathwork
While generally safe, people with certain health conditions (like respiratory issues, cardiovascular problems, or anxiety disorders) should consult a healthcare professional before beginning breathwork practices.
Some may experience lightheadedness or emotional release; it’s important to practice in a safe environment and stop if you feel uncomfortable.
No special equipment is required, just a quiet space and comfortable clothing.
Absolutely! It often complements meditation, romiromi, mirimiri, mindfulness, yoga and other holistic health practices.
There is some scientific evidence indicating that certain breathwork techniques can promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve mental health. However, more extensive research is needed to fully understand and confirm all the benefits. Many benefits are supported by preliminary studies, but individual experiences may vary.

FAQs for infrared sauna
Generally, yes. However, individuals with certain health conditions such as cardiovascular issues, pregnancy, or severe skin conditions should consult their healthcare provider before starting infrared sauna sessions
Many people find benefit with 2-3 sessions per week, but schedules can vary based on your individual health and wellness goals. It’s best to listen to your body and consult with your practitioner.
If you’re pregnant or have chronic health conditions, please speak with your healthcare provider before using the sauna to ensure it’s safe for your specific circumstances.
Depending on individual needs and comfort, sauna sessions usually last between 15 to 30 minutes.
It’s normal to sweat a lot during the session. Stay hydrated and listen to your body—if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or uncomfortable, it’s best to exit the sauna.
FAQs for Ice Bath (Cold Water Therapy)
Most people can enjoy the benefits, but individuals with heart conditions, Raynaud’s disease, or certain circulation issues should consult their healthcare provider before trying cold water immersion.
For beginners, it’s common to start with short intervals allowing your body to gradually build up tolerance. Over time, as you become more accustomed, you can gradually extend your session up to 10-15 minutes.
Remember, always listen to your body and never push beyond your comfort level. The duration can vary depending on individual tolerance and the specific benefits you’re seeking. Your comfort and safety are always the priority.
Ensure you are well-hydrated and have a warm towel or blanket nearby for after your session. It’s also wise to warm up gently beforehand.
It’s best to start with 1-3 times a week and see how your body responds. Daily use is generally not necessary and should be approached cautiously, especially for beginners.
Cold water immersion can cause shock or discomfort if not done properly. If you experience chest pain, extreme numbness, or dizziness, exit the water immediately and seek medical advice.
