I believe that we create our own reality moment by moment.
Ko wai au
Who I am and what shaped my journey to wellness.
If you’re here, it’s probably because you’re seeking change, growth, or a safe space to reconnect with yourself—I understand how overwhelming life can sometimes feel.
I was born in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and spent my early childhood exploring the outback of Queensland, Australia, with my family. We moved often, following my dad’s work, and those adventures, filled with laughter and close bonds, nurtured my love for nature and genuine connection—values that continue to shape me.
As a pre-teen, we moved back to South Auckland—a place of rich cultural diversity but also significant challenges. This transition marked a pivotal moment in my life, as I navigated the trials of adolescence, family struggles, and the harsh realities of a not-so-affluent environment. It was here I learned resilience and inner strength.
At 21, I married my first love, and by 25, I was a mum of three. Those early years balancing family, work, and personal growth deepened my understanding of love, patience, and perseverance. However, life threw us some curveballs that took a toll on our marriage, leading to our separation. After my marriage ended, I needed to rediscover my identity and navigate life on my own.
Over time, I faced personal hurdles that tested my trust and confidence—experiences that ultimately fuelled my passion for healing, growth, and empowerment.
In 2019, I remarried, and I’m incredibly grateful to share my life with a supportive partner. Together, we are committed to creating a space where growth, connection, and transformation happen naturally.
I remember attending a hui (conference) in 2022 and hearing the powerful stories of Māori wahine (women) who shared their journeys of healing. Their words were raw, inspiring, and filled with resilience. Their bravery and honesty touched my soul, igniting a sense of pride in who we are as Māori women. Hearing their journeys made me realise how powerful our wahine (and all wahine) are. That day confirmed my purpose: to walk this healing path, helping wahine to build a legacy of strength and resilience.
Today, I am honoured to be a holistic health practitioner, honouring both my Māori and European heritages by blending traditional wisdom with modern healing approaches.
At Renewal Bodywork and Coaching, we’ve created a warm, accepting space where women can reconnect with their stories, rewire limiting beliefs, and step confidently into the lives they’re meant to lead. This space is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and transformation—free from judgment.
Our holistic healing modalities—such as traditional Māori bodywork and life coaching—are thoughtfully crafted to nurture your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
If you’re ready to begin or continue your healing journey, I am here to walk alongside you.
I BELIEVE
The most rewarding success is rooted in authenticity and self-awareness. When your life aligns with what truly makes you feel alive, growth happens naturally. I believe that life is about exploring what brings you happiness, and that everyone has the power to craft their own unique, beautiful journey. Live the dream you’ve always imagined.
WHAT I AM NOT ABOUT
Getting caught up in negativity, worrying about things outside my control, avoiding responsibility, or shying away from new opportunities.
MY HAPPY PLACE
Being by the ocean, sharing moments with whānau (family) and friends, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, enjoying delicious food, moving my body, and learning more about my Māori heritage and history.
DAILY MORNING RITUALS
Karakia (Māori prayer), journaling and gratitude’s, moving my body, and starting the day with a nourishing breakfast.

From Clinical Care to Compassionate Healing & Coaching
My professional journey began in nursing, driven by a heartfelt desire to make a difference through compassionate care. After nursing, I transitioned into personal training, which gave me valuable insights into how physical vitality influences emotional wellbeing. Later, I took on the role of programme lead in the mental health and addiction space. This experience further opened my eyes to just how many people are silently struggling—desperately needing understanding, caring support, and someone to truly listen. It became clear that at the heart of every recovery story is the fundamental human need for connection and genuine support.
Working with clients in the outback of Queensland reminded me how essential it is to have a safe space to heal, to share their stories, and to reconnect with their true selves. It was becoming obvious that true wellness involves caring for the whole person—hinengaro (mind), tinana (body), and wairua (spirit). To deepen my understanding, I pursued a comprehensive education in trauma-informed care and mindfulness practices. I also gained specialised certifications in coaching for lifestyle, women’s health, and wellbeing management, complementing my study of Māori healing arts like Romiromi and Mirimiri—merging traditional wisdom with modern healing techniques to better support others on their journeys.
Today, I am passionate about guiding women to reconnect with their power, peel away the layers of doubt, and embrace who they truly are. I believe life’s challenges don’t define us—instead, how we rise after them does.
