I believe that we create our own reality moment by moment.
Ko wai au
Who I am and what shaped my journey to wellness.
If you’re here, it’s probably because you’re seeking change, growth, or a safe space to reconnect with yourself. I understand how life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming.
I was born in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and spent my early childhood exploring the outback of Queensland, Australia, with my family. We moved often, following my dad’s work, and those adventures—full of laughter and close bonds—nurtured my love for nature and genuine connection; values that continue to guide me.
As a pre-teen, we moved back to South Auckland—an area rich in cultural diversity but also filled with challenges. This shift was a pivotal moment: navigating adolescence, family struggles, and the realities of a less-privileged environment taught me resilience and inner strength.
At 21, I married my first love, and by 25, I was a mother of three. Those early years of balancing family, home life, and personal growth deepened my understanding of love, patience, and perseverance. Yet, life threw us some curveballs—leading to our separation. After my marriage ended, I faced the challenge of rediscovering my identity and walking my own path.
Fast forward to 2019, while living overseas, I felt a strong pull to return home to Aotearoa—to be closer to my whānau and to reconnect more deeply with my Māori heritage. That year, I remarried and made the move back home, feeling grateful to share my life with a supportive partner.
A significant turning point came when I attended a hui (conference), where I listened to powerful stories from Māori wāhine (women) about their journeys of resilience. Their honesty, bravery, and raw authenticity touched my heart. Their words ignited a deep pride in who we are as Māori women, reminding me of the incredible power that all wāhine hold. That experience confirmed my purpose: to walk this healing path alongside wāhine, supporting them to build a legacy of strength, resilience, and connection.
My journey into traditional Māori healing was driven by a desire to reconnect with my whakapapa (lineage), enrich my understanding of tikanga, and support all wāhine on their healing paths. I am passionate about helping wāhine reconnect with their stories, rewire limiting beliefs, and confidently embrace the lives they are meant to lead.
At Renewal Bodywork and Coaching, we have created a warm, caring space where women can feel safe to reclaim their power, restore their wellbeing, and embrace their whānaungatanga (sense of belonging).
Our holistic modalities—such as traditional Māori Bodywork and personalised Life & Wellness Coaching—are thoughtfully designed to nurture your mental, physical, and emotional health.
If you’re ready to start or continue your healing journey, I am here to walk alongside you.

I believe that life is about exploring what brings you happiness, and that everyone has the power to craft their own unique, beautiful journey. Live the dream you’ve always imagined.
WHAT I AM NOT ABOUT
Getting caught up in negativity, worrying about things outside my control, avoiding responsibility, or shying away from new opportunities.
MY HAPPY PLACE
Being by the ocean, sharing moments with whānau (family) and friends, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, enjoying delicious food, moving my body, and learning more about my Māori heritage and history.
DAILY MORNING RITUALS
Karakia (Māori prayer), journaling and gratitude’s, moving my body, and starting the day with a nourishing breakfast.
From Clinical Care to Compassionate Healing & Coaching
My professional journey began in nursing, driven by a heartfelt desire to make a difference through compassionate care. After nursing, I transitioned into personal training, which gave me valuable insights into how physical vitality influences emotional wellbeing. Later, I took on the role of programme lead in the mental health and addiction space. This experience further opened my eyes to just how many people are silently struggling—desperately needing understanding, caring support, and someone to truly listen. It became clear that at the heart of every recovery story is the fundamental human need for connection and genuine support.
Working with clients in the outback of Queensland reminded me how essential it is to have a safe space to heal, to share their stories, and to reconnect with their true selves. It was becoming obvious that true wellness involves caring for the whole person—hinengaro (mind), tinana (body), and wairua (spirit). To deepen my understanding, I pursued a comprehensive education in trauma-informed care and mindfulness practices. I also gained specialised certifications in coaching for lifestyle, women’s health, and wellbeing management, complementing my study of Māori healing arts like Romiromi and Mirimiri—merging traditional wisdom with modern healing techniques to better support others on their journeys.
Today, I am passionate about guiding women to reconnect with their power, peel away the layers of doubt, and embrace who they truly are. I believe life’s challenges don’t define us—instead, how we rise after them does.
