The Heart Behind the Practice
From Clinical Care to Wellness Coaching
My professional journey began in nursing, driven by a heartfelt desire to make a difference through compassionate care. After years in the clinical space, I transitioned into personal training, which gave me valuable insights into how physical vitality deeply influences emotional well-being.
Later, I served as a programme lead within the mental health and addiction sector. This experience opened my eyes to the reality of how many people are silently struggling—desperately needing understanding, genuine support, and someone to truly listen. It became clear that at the heart of every story is a fundamental human need for connection.
A Holistic Vision for Wellness
My time working with patients and clients over the years has reminded me how essential it is to have a safe space to heal, to share one’s story, and to reconnect with the true self. I realised that true wellness must involve caring for the whole person—hinengaro (mind), tinana (body), and wairua (spirit).
To bridge the gap between clinical care and holistic wellness, I pursued an education in trauma-informed care and mindfulness, alongside specialised certifications in wellness coaching, women’s health, and well-being management.
Supporting Your Journey with Wisdom and Science
These qualifications perfectly complement my study of Māori healing arts like Romiromi and Mirimiri. By bringing together traditional wisdom and contemporary techniques, I have created a practice that honours the whole person. I believe that our heritage and our history are the anchors that allow us to rise and grow today.
Today, I am passionate about guiding women to reconnect with their power, peel away the layers of doubt, and embrace who they truly are. I believe life’s challenges don’t define us—it is how we choose to rise that truly shapes our path.
